SCRANTON - Montrose Post 154 returned to action Wednesday evening against West Scranton Post 920 on the junior legion circuit. Montrose got a complete game gem from Evan Strohl, who tossed a two hit shutout in the 6-0 victory.

Post 154 pounded out 10 hits and scored a pair of runs in the third, fourth and seventh innings to earn the win.

Strohl fanned seven batters in his seven innings of work. He allowed just two hits and two walks, hurling just 89 pitches to get through seven innings.

Alex Arndt, Matt Tyler and Matt Parr each had multi hit games for the Mountaineers. Arndt smacked a double to go with a RBI, Tyler had a pair of RBI's, while Parr scored twice and knocked in a run.

Strohl, Jack Treadway, Connor Stephens and Nick Jennings also joined the hit parade, Stephens had a double and scored two runs, while Jennings drove in a run.

Max Hollett and Gabe Maby each scored a run as well as the Mountaineers improve to 3-2 on the season and return to action Friday at Abington, first pitch at 5:30.
