SCRANTON - Gianna Tewksbury had a heck of a day at the Robert Spagna Championships Wednesday evening. She continued to dominate the throwing events, capturing gold in the shot put and breaking the school record in the discus throw, while taking home a silver medal.

Tewksbury got things started in the discus breaking the Elk Lake school record with a throw of 124 feet five inches, good enough for a silver medal.

In the final event Tewksbury heaved the shot put an impressive 34 feet, four and three quarters inches to bring home a gold medal.

Fellow senior and Lady Warrior Katie McGlynn finished fourth in the shot put, with a toss of 33 feet five and a half inches.
