KINGSLEY - Mountain View needed just five at bats to finish off Blue Ridge Tuesday evening. The Eagles used five run innings in the second and fourth to cruise to a 13-3 mercy rule victory.
Josh Miller picked up the win on the bump. He hurled four innings, allowing two runs - one earned on four hits and five walks, while striking out four Raiders.
Jackson Gesford worked the final inning, striking out a batter. He allowed an unearned run on two hits.
Gehrig Dibble was hit with the loss, he lasted two innings while allowing six runs on six hits with two walks and two strikeouts.
Travis Rutter went the final two and two thirds for the Raiders, allowing seven runs - four earned on six hits and three walks, while fanning a batter.
Ziggy Bradford and Josh Miller each had three hits. Bradford scored three runs and drove one in, while Miller drove in a pair and scored twice.
Jordan Jagger stroked a pair of doubles, while Gesford cracked a triple as they each drove in three runs. Gesford also scored a pair of runs.
Tanner Holtsmaster, Jeremiah Tweed and Aidan McCloskey each had a hit. Holtmaster scored twice and drove in a pair, McCloskey scored twice and drove in a run and Tweed scored once.
Hudson Bain drove a run home, while Blake Norton reached home safely once.
Michael Smith paced Blue Ridge with a pair of hits and a RBI. Jack Treadway and Brandon Carpenetti each had a hit and scored a run.
Rutter and Brendan Marvin each had a single, Dibble scored a run and drove one in.
