SPRINGVILLE - Elk Lake woke the bats up Friday afternoon needing just four at bats to notch 13 runs, pounding out 10 hits on their way to the 13-2 mercy rule victory over Mountain View.
Noah Gesford had a day at the plate, the senior smacked three doubles, driving in five runs and scoring three in the process.
Brayden Miller had the other multi hit game for the Warriors with a pair of singles. Cohen Orlandini drove in a two runs on one hit.
Logan Ayotte had a single, scored a run and drove one in. Braydon McMicken scored a couple runs and had a hit.
Isaiah Strohl cracked a double and Alden Felker had a single to round out the Warrior's 10 hit attack.
Max Hollett crossed home safely twice, while Dawson Sherman and Gage Raub each scored a run.
Jackson Gesford had two of the three hits for Mountain View, while scoring a run. Ziggy Bradford had the other hit and scored a run.
Miller got the start and the win on the mound for the Warriors, striking out five in his three innings of work. He allowed just two hits and an unearned run.
N. Gesford tossed the final two innings, striking out a batter. He surrendered just one unearned run, one hit and a walk.
Hudson Bain started for the Eagles, he lasted just two innings allowing 10 runs - eight earned on eight hits and a pair of walks, while striking out a batter.
J. Gesford went the final two innings for Mountain View, striking out three. He gave up three runs on two hits and three walks.
The Eagles scored the first run of the game, as Bradford singled to start the game and later scored an unearned run.
The lead was short lived however as Miller, Felker, N. Gesford and Orlandini each tallied a hit in the inning as the Warriors plated four runs in the bottom of the frame.
After Strohl walked, McMicken and Miller singled to start the bottom of the second, before N. Gesford delivered the bases clearing double, driving in a trio of runs with one swing.
Ayotte singled and Orlandini got a run home with a sacrifice fly as Elk Lake tacked on three more for a six run second inning and a 10-1 lead.
After Miller worked a perfect third inning on the bump the Warriors pushed three more runs across in the bottom half, with Strohl and N. Gesford each stroking a double.
J. Gesford delivered a one out single in the top of the fourth and later scored on a bases loaded walk to make it 13-2.
Elk Lake was held scoreless for the first time all game in the bottom of the fourth.
They returned the favor in the top of the fifth, ending the game with a 5-4-3 double play to get the 13-2 win.
