SOFTBALL: LEAH TRAVER HITS A PAIR OF HOMERS, BRYNN WARRINER ADDS ANOTHER AS ELK LAKE ROLLS TO VICTORY (2025-04-16)

SPRINGVILLE - Elk Lake got off to a slow start, but picked up the pace scoring six runs in the third and seven more in the fourth to get the 18-3 four inning victory over Carbondale Wednesday afternoon.

Leah Traver hit a pair of home runs, driving in four runs and scoring three. Brynn Warriner also hit a homer to go with three runs batted in and a run scored.

Aleece Greenley also smashed three extra base hits, with a pair of doubles and a triple. She scored a pair of runs and drove one in.

Celeste Clark continued to showoff her bunting skills with three singles, turning into three runs scored.

Lydia Howell and Maddie Ely each had a pair of hits, including a double. Howell drove in three runs, while Ely drove in two and scored once.

Marissa Horn also had a single and scored a run. Taylor Traver walked twice and scored two runs, while Erin Burke scored once.

Horn recorded 10 of the 12 outs via the strikeout, working four innings, allowing three runs, on four hits and two walks.
