SOFTBALL: KUBLO SISTERS POWER MONTROSE TO VICTORY OVER SUSQUEHANNA (2025-04-16)

MONTROSE - The Lady Meteors won a slugfest over Susquehanna Wednesday afternoon as the two teams combined for 30 runs. In the end it was Montrose doubling up the Lady Sabers 20-10 in five innings for the victory.

Montrose scored in every at-bat, plating four runs in the first, five in the second, six in the third, a pair in the fourth and three in the fifth to end it.

Susquehanna was only held scoreless in the first as they scored two in the second, three in the third, four in the fourth and one in the fifth.

The Lady Meteors pumped out 19 hits at the plate, with Kyleise and MycKenna Kublo each notching four hits. MycKenna had a pair of doubles, five RBI's and four runs scored. Kyleise drove in three runs and scored twice.

Cara Evans and Violet Conning each had three hits, Evans had three doubles, Conning finished with a double and a triple. They each drove in a pair, Evans scored four times, Conning twice.

Allison Jennings had two doubles, while driving in four runs and scoring one. Alyse Legg had a hit, scored three times and drove one in.

Rori Gurn had a hit, a run scored and a run driven in. Jocelyn Traver had a hit and scored twice. Sierra Brown also scored a run for the Lady Meteors.

Jennings tossed the first two innings, striking out three. She allowed two unearned runs on a hit and two walks.

Traver fanned two, working the final three innings, giving up eight runs - one earned on seven hits and three walks.

Eight different Lady Sabers had a hit, Cassandra Cottrell and Lauren Huyck each had a double. Huyck drove in two runs, while Cottrell scored once.

Marley Smith, Jordyn Oney-Roth, Meghan Perry, Brooke Collins, Piper Heller and Gianna Creamer each had single.

Oney-Roth drove in a pair of runs and scored one, Perry drove in the other and scored three runs. Creamer scored twice, Smith, Collins and Jordyn Spoor each scored once.

Huyck struck out five going the distance for Susquehanna. She surrendered 20 runs - 17 earned in 19 hits and five walks.
