CARBONDALE - Blue Ridge saw their lead slip away late, surrendering four runs in the final two innings as Carbondale walked it off with two runs in the bottom of the seventh for the 7-6 victory.
The Lady Raiders scored four runs in the top of the second as Peyton Rutter, Abby Piechocki and Mel Bloomer each cracked a single in the frame.
Carbondale got one back in the bottom of the second, leading the inning of with a triple, then scoring on a sacrifice fly.
The Chargerettes cut the lead to two runs, using a single and a double to plate another run in the bottom of the third.
Hailey Carpenetti and A. Piechocki each hit a single to start the top of the fourth. Carpenetti later scored on a wild pitch to get the Blue Ridge lead back to three runs.
Carbondale collected back to back to back two out singles to score a run in the bottom of the fifth, making the score 5-3.
Carpenetti singled leading of the sixth and later scored an insurance run on a Bloomer single to left.
Carbondale cut the lead to one in the home half of the sixth, using a pair of walks, a single and a double to score two runs.
In the bottom of the seventh the Chargerettes worked a one out walk, then got a two out single to put the winning run on base.
With two outs Carbondale got the walk off with a double into centerfield that plated the tying and winning runs as they won a thriller 7-6.
Bella Shea had three hits to lead the Lady Raiders. Carpenetti, Piechocki and Bloomer each had a pair of hits. Rutter singled and Liberty Post tripled for the other Blue Ridge hits.
Kupier and Piechocki each drove in a run, while Carpenetti scored three times, Rutter and Piechocki each scored once.
Trista Laude went the distance in the circle, striking out five. She allowed seven runs - five earned on 13 hits and four walks.
