NEW MILFORD - The Meteors offense tallied double digits for the second time in as many nights on their way to an 11-1 five inning league victory over Blue Ridge Friday evening.

After a scoreless first inning the Meteors got a leadoff single from Chris McGee and a Chase Harman walk to put two on with no outs to start the second.

After Raiders pitcher Gehrig Dibble got two quick outs, he walked Adam Sorensen to load the bases.

Kasey Carey delivered a bases clearing double to left field to put the Meteors on the board. After a Lukas Cokely walk, Hudson Aukema smashed a double to left scoring Carey and Cokely.

The score remained the same until Carey started another Meteor rally in the fourth with a one out triple. Cokely drove him home with a double to make it 6-0.

Alex Stoddard scored Cokely with a two out double to right field. He would later score when Chris McGee reached on an error.

Aukema got in his first jam of the night in the fourth. When Dibble singled to lead the inning off, Aukema struck the next batter out, but walked the next two to load the bases.

Dibble would score on an error, but Aukema would escape further trouble fanning the next two batter to end the inning.

Montrose would add three more runs in the fifth as Sorensen and Carey had hits in the inning.

Sorensen worked a scoreless fifth in relief of Aukema, striking out the side as the Meteors get the five inning 11-1 win.

Aukema got the win on the mound, he pitched four innings, giving up an unearned run on two hits, three walks and eight strikeouts.

Dibble was saddled with the loss, he went three innings giving up five runs on four hits, four walks and three strikeouts.

Carey was a perfect three for three at the plate to lead the Meteors nine hit attack, he drove in three runs with a double and a triple, while scoring three runs.

Aukema had a pair of hits, including a double to go with a pair or RBI's. Cokely and Stoddard each had a double, Sorensen and McGee each singled.

Cokely and Stoddard each drove in a run, Cokely scored twice, Stoddard, McGee, Harman and Lincoln Brander each scored once.

Brendan Marvin had two hits including a double, Dibble had the only other Raiders hit, he also scored their only run.

Montrose wins their second straight game to improve to 3-4 on the season. They return to action Monday at 4:30 when they host Elk Lake.
