GIRLS BASKETBALL: ADDISON KILMER'S DOUBLE-DOUBLE HELPS LADY EAGLES DOWN LADY LIONS (2025-02-18)

KINGSLEY - The Lady Eagles got off to a sluggish start in their quarterfinal game against Lackawanna Trail. With Mountain View coach Corey Gesford admitting they lacked intensity in the first half. His halftime speech must've worked as they poured in 27 third quarter points, cruising to the 49-18 victory.

The Lady Eagles defense pitched a shutout in the first quarter, while their normally high powered offense managed just eight points.

Addison Kilmer scored six of those points, draining a pair of three pointers, Aubrey Sanders added a bucket for the other two.

Mountain View was outscored 8-6 in the second period, A. Kilmer made a pair of field goals and Riley Turner added a pair of free throws. Heading into the locker room they led 14-8.

The Lady Eagles were relentless again on defense in the third quarter, holding the Lady Lions without a field goal.

Offensively they went on a 27 point scoring barrage, fueled by a 16 point outburst from A. Kilmer. Knocking down six field goals and going four of four from the line.

Ryleigh Kilmer canned a three and added a bucket, Turner scored a pair of two pointers and Sanders added one of her own. Giving them a commanding 41-9 lead.

Mountain View was held to single digits for the third time in the fourth, notching eight points in the final eight minutes. 

R. Kilmer buried a shot from downtown, Mimi Sedlak and Ireland Shea each notched a basket and Sanders added a free throw.

The Eagles defense played lights out all game, holding Trail single digits in every frame, as they pulled away for the 49-18 victory. 

A. Kilmer finished with a double-double, recording a game high 26 points and 14 rebounds, she also had seven blocks.

R. Kilmer tallied eight points, Turner had five points and four steals. Sanders added five points, Sedlack and Shea each chipped in with two.

With the win Mountain View advances to the semifinals Friday night at 7:00, when they host Wyoming Seminary.
