ON TAP TODAY: PLENTY OF BOYS LACKAWANNA LEAGUE ACTION ON THE COURT (2025-02-11)

SusCo Sports Report
SUSCO - There is a full slate of Division III Lackawanna League games scheduled tonight. Elk Lake can clinch the league outright tonight with a win at home on senior night. The Eagles will host Forest City, Jackson Gesford enters the game with 951 career points.
BOYS BASKETBALL:
Carbondale(1-19) @ Blue Ridge (8-12)- The Raiders spotlight their seniors during their last home game of the regular season. They are currently sitting at number five in the District II AA power rankings, with Wyoming Seminary holding a slight edge. If the Raiders can win out they could sneak into the fourth slot.
Susquehanna(7-13) @ Elk Lake(17-3, 11-1)- Elk Lake will recognize their seniors as they play their last regular season game on Mike "Red" Wallace Court. The Warriors are sitting solidly in the number three spot on the AAA side of the power rankings. A win tonight eliminates the Eagles from potentially forcing a playoff or criteria situation. The Sabers come to town playing good basketball, they are currently sixth in the AA rankings, with an outside chance at moving up to the number four spot if they can win out.
Montrose(12-8) @ Lackawanna Trail(10-10)- The Meteors look for revenge on the Lions, who handed them a four point loss at the Crater on Jan. 16. Despite a solid record for the Meteors, they currently set in the sixth spot in a loaded AAA bracket.
Forest City(4-16) @ Mountain View(13-7, 10-2)- The Eagles will honor their seniors tonight, with the Foresters coming to Kingsley. Mountain View has the number two spot all but locked up in the AA rankings. They would need to win out with a lot of help to get back to even in the league with Elk Lake, although Elk Lake holds the head to head criteria 2-0. Jackson Gesford needs 49 points to join the 1,000 point club and put an exclamation point on a great high school career on the court.
