SusCo Sports Report
KINGSLEY - Jordan Jagger turned in another solid performance on the mound, hurling a 90 pitch complete game. He also added a pair of hits including a double, as Mountain View defeated Lackawanna Trail 8-2 Wednesday evening.

The Eagles jumped out in front with a four run first inning. The Lions starter Tucker Kinney walked the first three batters.

Ziggy Bradford scored on a wild pitch, then Tanner Holtsmaster connected for a double, scoring Jackson Gesford.

Josh Miller and Holtsmaster scored on back to back groundouts from Jagger and Hudson Bain, making it 4-0 after one.

Trail would answer with a run in the top of the second, tallying three straight one out singles to plate a run and cut their deficit to three.

Aidan McCloskey stroked a one out single, Bradford followed with a walk. Gesford drove them both in with a double to centerfield to put them up 6-1.

The Lions cracked a one out double and single to put runners at the corners. They would eventually score on an error to make it a four run ball game.

The score remained the same until the bottom of the fifth. The Eagles scored a pair of runs, taking advantage of four walks and a single by Bradford.

Jagger retired six of the last seven batters he faced to lockdown the 8-2 win for the Eagles at home.

Jagger relied heavily on his defense as he struck out three over his seven innings. He gave up just two runs - one earned on six hits and didn't walk a batter.

Bradford (2-2) was perfect at the plate, scoring a pair of runs and driving in another. Jagger (2-4) also had a pair of hits, including a double and scored a run.

Gesford (1-2) drove in two runs with a double and scored once. Holtsmaster (1-4) connected for a double, scored a run and drove one in.

McCloskey (1-3) crossed home safely twice, while Jeremiah Tweed (1-4) had the other hit.

Josh Miller walked three times, scored a run and drove one in, while Blake Norton scored a run.
