KINGSLEY - Mountain View pitchers struggled to find the strike zone Wednesday evening as they walked 15 Lady Lions in four innings. Lackawanna Trail added eight hits on their way to the 17-2 mercy rule victory.

The Lady Lions struck for four runs in the top of the first and pushed seven more across in the second to take control of the game.

They added a run in the third and five more in the fourth to take a 17-0 lead.

The Lady Eagles needed to score three runs to extend the game. They got a two run homer from Izzy Hobart, but it wasn't enough as the fell 17-2.

Anabelle Bowman started in the circle for Mountain View. She pitched one and a third innings, allowing 11 runs eight earned on six hits and six walks.

Christina Denney worked the next one and two thirds, surrendering six runs - five earned on one hit and eight walks. Gianna Gravine pitched the final inning, giving up a hit and a walk.

Mountain View had a pair of hits in the game, Hobart (1-2) knocked in both runs with a two run homer. Paige Smith had the other hit and Coralynn Henry scored the other run.

Madison Pietrzak got the win in the circle for the Lady Lions. She allowed two unearned runs on two hits, while striking out five.
