BASEBALL: JORDAN JAGGER STRIKES OUT 16, AS MOUNTAIN VIEW BEATS MMI PREP 6-2 (2025-04-25)

FREELAND - Mountain View used a four run first inning and a complete game gem from Jordan Jagger to extend their win streak to three in a row as they took care of MMI Prep with a final score of 6-2 Friday evening.
Jagger was borderline un-hittable as he allowed just two hits for two unearned runs. He needed just 100 pitches to complete seven innings, while striking out 16 with zero walks.
The Eagles jumped out to the early lead with a four run first inning. Ziggy Bradford walked to lead it off.
Josh Miller delivered a one out single to score Bradford. After a Tanner Holtsmaster single, Jagger lined out to right field.
Hudson Bain and Jeremiah Tweed each connected for a two out run scoring single to get Miller and Holtsmaster home. Bain eventually scored on a wild pitch to make it 4-0.
The score remained the same until the bottom of the third as MMI Prep scored a run on a wild pitch.
MMI plated another run in the fourth on a leadoff single that would come around to score on an error making it 4-2.
However the Eagles would get that run back, scoring a run on a pair of walks and an error to get their lead back to three.
Mountain View added an insurance run in the sixth, as Miller drew a leadoff walk and later scored on a single by Jagger.
Jagger worked a perfect sixth and seventh, striking out the side in the seventh to secure the Eagles win 6-2.
Miller (2-3) and Bain (2-3) led the eight hit attack for Mountain View. They each drove in a run, while Miller scored twice and Bain once.
Tweed (1-3) had a RBI and scored a run, while Jagger (1-4) drove in a run and Holtsmaster (1-4) scored a run.
Jackson Gesford (1-5) had the other hit for the Eagles and Bradford scored the first run of the ball game.
