BASEBALL: BRAYDON McMICKEN SMASHES HOMER AND NOTCHES WIN ON THE BUMP AS ELK LAKE ROLLS OVER FOREST CITY (2025-04-22)

Forest City - Elk Lake scored in all five at bats as they won by a 12-0 score on the road for the second consecutive night. The Warriors pitching dominated Forest City, picking up their second shutout victory in as many nights Tuesday.

Braydon McMicken was lights out on the mound striking out five batters in his four innings of work. He allowed just a hit and a pair of walks.

Brayden Miller worked a perfect inning, while striking out a batter to close the door for the Warriors.

Miller and Alden Felker hit back to back one out singles. Dawson Sherman plated Miller and A. Brown with a single. Ayotte followed with a single to score Sherman and make it 3-0 Warriors.

The Warriors added a pair of runs in the second. Miller scored Strohl with a one out single. Then Noah Gesford brought Max Hollett home with a sacrifice fly to put the Warriors up 5-0.

Elk Lake used singles from Ayotte, Strohl, and Felker along with a double from McMicken to score four more runs in the third to extend their lead to 9-0.

Strohl singled home Ayotte who drew a walk for another Warrior run in the fourth.

McMicken smacked an opposite field homer leading off the fifth. Sherman plated Hollett for the final Elk Lake run of the contest.

Miller needed just nine pitches to shut the door on the Foresters as they win in dominating fashion 12-0.

McMicken, Miller, Felker, Ayotte and Strohl each recorded a pair of hits for the Warriors. McMicken had a double and a homer while driving in a pair and scoring a run.

Strohl drove in a pair and scored twice. Miller and Ayotte each scored a pair of runs and drove one in, Felker also had a RBI.

Sherman notched the other Elk Lake hit, driving in a pair of runs and scoring one. Courtesy runner Hollett scored three runs and Gesford drove in a run.

Elk Lake improves to 11-1 with the victory, they will travel to play Blue Ridge on Thursday.
