BASEBALL: GESFORD & MILLER COMBINE FOR ONE HIT SHUTOUT AGAINST SUSQUEHANNA (2025-04-21)

SUSQUEHANNA - Noah Gesford continued his torrid hitting stroking three hits to lead the eight hit attack for Elk Lake. The Warriors exploded for seven runs in the fifth to defeat Susquehanna 12-0 after five innings.

Gesford also notched the win on the mound, allowing just one hit in his four innings of work, while walking five and fanning seven batters.

Brayden Miller worked a perfect fifth to lock it down.

Braydon McMicken doubled to start the game, Miller and Alden Felker each drew a walk to load the bases. 

Gesford scored McMicken and Miller with a single. Courtesy runner Devin Lawrence later scored on an error off the bat of Dawson Sherman to make it 3-0.

Gesford allowed a couple of two out walks in the bottom of the first, but struck out the side to keep the score 3-0.

Cohen Orlandini hit a line drive single to centerfield leading off the second and later scored on a groundout from McMicken.

Elk Lake added another run in the top of the fourth when Miller singled to bring home McMicken, making it 5-0.

The Warriors put together a seven run inning, putting things out of reach in the fifth. 

Gesford started it with a double, Sherman followed with a single and stole second to put two runners in scoring position.

Logan Ayotte singled through the five and a half hole to bring them both in. A balk, three walks and an error would lead to four more runs.

Gesford capped the rally with his second hit of the inning to score Morris, making it 12-0.

Miller sat the Sabers down in order in the fifth to end it, with the Warriors getting the shutout league win 12-0.

Gesford had three hits, while scoring a run and driving in a trio. Ayotte had a hit to drive in a pair of runs and scored once.

McMicken had a hit, scored three times and drove a run in. Miller had a hit, a run driven in and scored a run.

Sherman and Orlandini each had a hit and scored a run. The Warriors walked eight times as a team.

Travis Rooney had the only hit for Susquehanna. They drew five walks on offense.

Matt Callender pitched four innings allowing eight runs - six earned on seven hits and five walks, while striking out three.

Caedon Stone pitched the final inning, allowing four unearned runs on one hit and three walks.
