SOFTBALL: MOUNTAIN VIEW BATS GO QUIET IN LOSS TO LACKAWANNA TRAIL (2025-04-16)

FACTORYVILLE - Mountain View fell behind early as their offense struggled against Lackawanna Trail on Wednesday afternoon. The Lady Eagles finally pushed a run across in the fifth, but it wasn't enough as they fell 12-1 to the Lady Lions.
Mountain View tallied just four hits in the contest, with Coralynn McHenry cracking a pair of doubles and scoring the lone Lady Eagle run.
Christina Denney also had a double that scored McHenry. Paige Smith had a single for the other Mountain View hit.
Gianna Gravine pitched an inning, allowing six runs on a hit and eight walks, while striking out a batter.
Anabelle Bowman tossed the final three innings, striking out four. She surrendered six runs - four earned on three hits and seven walks.
Trail took advantage of eight first inning walks to jump out to a 6-0 lead. They tacked on two more in the second, three in the third and one in the fourth for the 12-0 advantage.
McHenry doubled to leadoff the fifth, Denney got her home with a two out double as the Lady Eagles fell prey to the Lady Lions 12-1 in five innings.
