SOFTBALL: SENIORS GURN AND CONNING HELP MONTROSE WIN 23-13 SLUGFEST OVER MOUNTAIN VIEW (2025-04-09)

MONTROSE - It was a high scoring affair between Mountain View and Montrose Wednesday evening as the two teams combined for 36 runs and 13 errors. The Lady Eagles plated nine runs in the third and the Lady Meteors scored 10 in fifth to get the 23-13 victory.
The Lady Meteors pounded out 19 hits, with freshman Kyleise Kublo notching four hits, with a double. She also scored four times and drove in a run.
Violet Conning and Nolah Rounds each had three hits with a double and scored three runs apiece. Conning had a game high five RBI's, while Rounds had one.
Rori Gurn smacked a double and a triple driving in four runs and scoring twice. Cara Evans also had a pair of hits with four runs batted in and scored three times.
MycKenna Kublo and Allison Jennings each had a two hits and two runs scored, Jennings also had three runs batted in.
Krisalyn Welch had a double, scored twice and drove a run home. Jocelyn Traver walked and scored twice as every player in the starting lineup scored a run.
Traver picked up the win going all five innings, striking out five. She allowed 13 runs - one earned on eight hits and four walks.
Christina Denney took the loss, she pitched four innings. She allowed 23 runs - 16 earned on 19 hits and five walks, while striking out six.
Emma Thatcher had two hits, including a double to lead the Lady Eagles eight hit attack. She also drove in a pair of runs and scored once.
Denney, Emily Trichilo, and Kassidy Canfield each had a hit and a pair of runs batted in. Denney scored twice, while Trichilo and Canfield each scored once.
Aubrey Sanders had a hit, drove a run in and scored a run. Paige Smith scored a team best four runs and had a single. Addison Kilmer also singled and scored a run.
Anabelle Brown drew a pair of walks, had a pair of runs batted in and scored a run, Mimi Sedlak also crossed home safely once.
