PIAA SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS: LADY WARRIORS COME UP JUST SHORT IN 200 FREESTYLE RELAY (2025-03-12)

SusCo Sports Report
LEWISBURG - The Elk Lake Lady Warriors were on the big stage at the PIAA Swimming Championships at Bucknell University for the first of two days in the Bison's pool.

With AAA coming in Friday and Saturday to complete the four day event, as Bucknell students are on spring break.

If you've never been to a big swimming competition you're missing out. The positive energy and camaraderie between competitors is like nothing I've seen in any other sport.

The top 16 finishers from each event were back this afternoon for the finals and consolation finals.

Unfortunately for the Lady Warriors 200 Freestyle Relay team, they narrowly missed qualifying to swim again tonight, finishing 17th out of 32 relay teams with a time of 1:43.59.

The girls 200 Freestyle relay team is made up of Brynn Warriner, Hannah Howell, Chelsea Grosvenor and Allison Grosvenor. They qualified for states, taking a silver medal in the District II Championships on March 1.

Brynn Warriner also competed individually in the 50 Freestyle, but failed to crack the top 16. Finishing with a 25.55, the junior qualified for states by capturing a District II gold medal.

Warriner will be back at it tomorrow morning, competing in the 100 Freestyle, she will also join Howell, Chelsea and Allison for the 400 Freestyle Relay, with hopes of swimming one more time together tomorrow afternoon in the finals.
